Centri-Force prides itself on its comprehensive engineering capabilities and out of hours response service.  This allowed us recently to complete a 24/7 contract with Daher Aerospace to support their contract with Rolls-Royce. We were asked to offer product support services ensuring that prototype equipment was serviceable and available throughout the duration of the contract.

At the initial meeting the scale of the job became apparent and it became clear that this would be an interesting and challenging project. The specific details of the contract cannot be disclosed however, there is no problem in describing the generic engineering work carried out which was to provide logistical, engineering and machine shop back up 24 hours each and every day. 

The project lasted several weeks and we were called into action numerous times throughout its duration. Our services included the collection and delivery of approximately 5 tonnes of equipment to and from our workshop/site in order to conduct the welding, machining and load testing etc. as required.

Within the first day of the project beginning we were contacted late on a Friday afternoon to assist in the modification on some of the specialist equipment. Our engineering staff worked into the weekend to ensure the items were completed in time and back on site for the Rolls-Royce Engineers to use early on the Monday morning.

Our approach to this contract and the level of service we provided was recognised by the end Customer, Rolls-Royce and Daher Aerospace who have expressed their satisfaction to us in writing:

 This job was outside our core centrifuge business but it does show that as Engineers we can adapt and perform as required to get the job done.
